Stanford Health Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Palo Alto, California.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients with complex vascular conditions. As a full-time APP on the vascular surgery team, you will partner with surgeons and other APPs to provide comprehensive care to patients from admission to discharge.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized team dedicated to advancing the field of vascular surgery. You will play a critical role in delivering innovative care while growing your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.
About the Role- Collaborate with surgeons, house staff, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Manage the care of patients admitted to or consulted by the vascular surgery service.
- Oversee perioperative management, including pre-operative assessments, coordination of care, and post-operative management.
- Perform independent procedures such as wound care, suturing, drain removal, TDC removal, and other tasks based on departmental needs.
- Ensure patient continuity of care and coordinate discharge planning effectively.
- We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an APP in one of the following specialties: vascular surgery, vascular medicine, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, hospitalist roles, or intensive care unit.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong skills in perioperative patient management and performing independent procedures.
