The Rehabilitation Therapist is responsible for adhering to departmental policies regarding documentation and communication. This role involves effective interaction with patients, families, medical personnel, and other team members while fulfilling all administrative duties essential to the unit's operations. The therapist will demonstrate proficiency in various treatment techniques and equipment, conducting re-evaluations as per departmental protocols and modifying treatment plans as necessary.


Key Responsibilities
- Accurately documents evaluation findings in accordance with departmental standards.
- Prepares daily progress notes that reflect patient responses to therapy, actual performance, and assessments relevant to the treatment plan.
- Completes discharge summaries that outline treatment progress, discharge requirements, and follow-up recommendations.
- Engages effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Provides educational resources tailored to the patient's comprehension and motivation levels.
- Exhibits essential competencies in treatment modalities and equipment usage, performing re-evaluations and adjusting treatment plans as required.
- Maintains current knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evaluation strategies.
- Takes full responsibility for managing the Occupational Therapy process from initial contact through to discharge, ensuring functional progress and safety.


Qualifications
- Certification: Basic Life Support / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Licensure: Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist license
- Experience: Background in Occupational Therapy
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
