Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of all production and facility equipment. This position is responsible for conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and systems, ensuring that the facility remains in optimal working condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Industrial Maintenance Technician should possess a minimum of one year of relevant maintenance experience and demonstrate expertise in the following areas:

  • Utilization of basic hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, and pliers.
  • Management of purchasing system requisitions.
  • Creation and closure of work orders, including documentation of notes and parts utilized.
  • Proper use and setting of torque wrenches.
  • Understanding of construction materials and their compatibility with processes.
  • Sourcing appropriate hardware and fittings for various tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights safely.
  • Operation of powered industrial trucks, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Implementation of lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Safe handling of cutting tools such as grinders and band saws.
  • Pipefitting and joining of PVC materials.
  • Anchoring of equipment using wedge/epoxy methods and ensuring proper leveling.
  • Selection and application of bearing grease.
  • Installation of drywall anchors for various fixtures.
  • External cleaning of radiators and condensers.
  • Replacement of water and air filters.
  • V-belt tension checks, adjustments, and replacements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year of related experience or equivalent qualifications.

  • Previous experience in industrial manufacturing operations or maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, piping, basic electrical work, and/or carpentry is advantageous.
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities with a positive attitude.
  • Competent computer skills, including the ability to create spreadsheets and prepare documents.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
