Sanitation Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sanitation Driver to join our team at Waste Connections in Benson, AZ.

About the Role:

• Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary that reflects the demands and requirements of the job.
• Job Description:
  • Responsibilities:
    • Operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste, ensuring safe and efficient service to customers.
    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
    • Load and unload trash at designated facilities, working independently when necessary.
    • Courteously interact with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
    • The role involves extensive physical activity, requiring strenuous work, heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
    • Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions, including frequent wet and/or humid environments, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
    • Noise levels are usually moderate.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement as a minimum.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
  • Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • A minimum of 2 years of frontload experience.
