Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural Engineer II to join our team at Selectek. As a key member of our Engineering Services group, you will be responsible for supporting project management and design activities for high voltage substation foundations and structural design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop substation design processes, standards, and custom designs for foundations and steel structures.
  • Technical Evaluation: Review equipment specifications and data sheets for foundation and steel design, and technically evaluate vendor proposals for major equipment.
  • Design Standards: Implement design standards for various structures and foundations, and develop steel and foundation design standards for Silvey standard designs.
  • Engineering Expertise: Develop expertise to evaluate GeoTech Reports and Soil Reports, and support pre-bid meetings and documentation by evaluating GeoTech Reports.
  • Design Quality Control: Develop and maintain a system for evaluating design quality control and metrics for long-term management of design group.
  • Documentation: Provide proper documentation for project drawings and other project documentation, and provide detailed steel and foundation drawings with proper bills of material.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years' experience in civil engineering design and development
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, proficiency in design software such as MFAD, STAAD, PLS-Pole, ACAD Inventor, and other comparable design software
  • Licenses: Professional Engineering License (preferred but not required)
