Healthcare Nutritionist

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Nutritionist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. in Corcoran, CA.

About the Role:

• This is an immediate need for a Registered Dietician to work in a correctional facility.
• The successful candidate will provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitian in accordance with Institution policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement dietary intervention and strategies;
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care;
• Develop and implement training programs for facility staff, clients, patients and others;
• Ensure adherence to food safety and infection control standards;
• Conduct and complete within seventy-two (72) hours of physician's order, nutrition assessment by consulting with patient/youth, evaluating their nutritional needs, and provide nutritional counseling, as needed, when referred by a physician;
• Participate in committees relating to nutrition, food service, bioethics, performance improvement/quality assurance and other issues;
• Maintain a professional working relationship between Food Services, Correctional Healthcare Services staff; and custodial staff;
• Comply with and practice universal safety precautions;
• Prepare written dietary service status reports each month, including assessments, follow-ups completed, and recommendations for dietary policies and procedures;

Salary Range: $45 - $60 per hour
