Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage merchandise requests from customers and sales personnel, ensuring accurate order entry and processing for timely fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist customers at the front counter, ensuring any order discrepancies are promptly addressed.
2. Conduct end-of-day cash drawer reconciliation and complete necessary paperwork according to established protocols.
3. Assemble hoses and tubes precisely following manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
4. Maintain an organized and clean counter display, ensuring it is well-stocked and free of dust.
5. Regularly clean and maintain customer service areas, the counter, and the hose assembly shop.
6. Perform preventive maintenance on shop crimpers and related equipment.
Additional Duties
1. Support Shipping and Receiving with various tasks as needed.
2. Assist sales personnel and customers with special requests, including checking stock availability and managing inventory.
3. Collaborate with branch teams on action plans, improvement initiatives, or special assignments from supervisors.
4. Provide training to team members on established processes and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Exhibit strong work habits and a supportive attitude towards company goals.
- Demonstrate teamwork and encourage activities aimed at reducing waste and inefficiencies.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical assessments.
- Capable of multitasking and detail-oriented.
Working Conditions
- Operate within a shop environment with minimal climate control.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of pushing 30 lbs. and pulling 50 lbs.
- Must be able to reach overhead repetitively.
- Able to stand, bend, and walk for 8 hours, utilizing repetitive hand movements such as stapling and typing.
