Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Perform exams following modality-specific protocols to produce high-quality images using appropriate imaging techniques.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ancillary equipment, including laser cameras, fluoroscopic equipment, and contrast injectors.
- Appropriately store, handle, and administer contrast agents, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient data, including history, exam title, demographics, and modality-specific questionnaires.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions and minimizing anxiety.
- Apply safety principles to minimize risks to patients, self, and others, adhering to established standards.
- Conduct ongoing patient assessment, monitoring condition and providing physical or psychological support as needed.
- Assist with modality-specific QA/QC procedures, ensuring equipment operates within manufacturers' and regulatory guidelines.
- Take responsibility for assigned areas, ensuring rooms are clean, stocked, and meet modality standards.
- Participate in modality-specific PI Plans and contribute to departmental efficiency through effective communication.
- Demonstrate computer literacy and analytical skills, applying knowledge of HIS, RIS, PACS, and CAD applications.
- Follow time and attendance policies, attend educational programs, and maintain licenses and professional accreditation.
- Graduate from an A.M.A.-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience in radiologic technology, with certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the State of New York.
- Ability to work flexibly, including day, evening, and night shifts.
