About the Role
The Housekeeping Team Member is a vital member of our community team at Lutheran Senior Services. As a key contributor, you will provide exceptional housekeeping services to our residents, ensuring their living environment is clean, safe, and comfortable.
As a Community Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of our community. This includes performing a variety of cleaning duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing high-touch areas. You will also be expected to work independently and collaboratively with other team members to ensure our community meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

About the Position
This full-time position offers an estimated salary of $45,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional housekeeping services to residents, including cleaning, dusting, and sanitizing living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the community, including common areas, hallways, and stairwells.
- Perform specialized cleaning tasks, such as carpet care and resilient floor cleaning, according to procedure.
- Mix, label, and utilize approved cleaning products, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Follow infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, trash disposal, and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and cleaning agents.
- Report any hazardous conditions, defective equipment, or accidents/incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior housekeeping experience desirable.
- Ability to interact with residents, provide excellent customer service, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and work in a well-lighted and ventilated area with occasional exposure to outdoor elements.
