The Fixed Equipment Reliability Engineer acts as the primary authority on fixed equipment (such as tanks, vessels, piping, etc.) and provides essential support for manufacturing operations through inspections, repairs, and enhancement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1: Achieve all SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) goals and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations for a manufacturing facility.

Essential Activities:
  • Ensure compliance with SHE standards and expectations as outlined in the INEOS Life Saving Rules and 20 Safety Principles.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive inspection and integrity program that meets all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Deliver results against Asset Integrity KPIs and propose interventions for measurable enhancements as necessary.
  • Participate in the SHE management system for the site, including reporting, incident investigations, sharing lessons learned, tracking corrective actions, and training personnel in support of the Incident Management System.
Responsibility 2: Uphold the systems and procedures for the mechanical integrity of assets and protective systems.

Essential Activities:
  • Adhere to API, ASME, ANSI, and industry standards.
  • Possess a solid understanding of industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Conduct audits for compliance with PSM & MI standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain asset conditions according to INEOS Asset Care guidelines.
  • Serve as the Fixed Equipment Technical Expert.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to create long-term reliability strategies for fixed equipment that align with site objectives.
  • Maintain site procedures and standards for fixed equipment.
  • Provide high-level technical guidance and design assurance for fixed equipment projects.
  • Support the creation of maintenance and repair procedures for fixed equipment, ensuring they are updated as necessary.
  • Monitor the performance and operation of fixed equipment; identify improvement opportunities and integrate them into long-term reliability strategies.
  • Assist the Asset Care team with technical support for routine maintenance of fixed equipment as required.
  • Lead or support root cause failure analysis for fixed equipment issues as needed.
  • Assist with Turnaround (TAR) support for fixed equipment as required.
  • Work with the Asset Care team to strategically implement reliability plans.
  • Provide technical assistance for emergency and after-hours work requiring troubleshooting and scope definition.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities for fixed equipment that align with site objectives.
  • Review mechanical designs during the Front-End Loading stages of fixed equipment capital projects to ensure compliance with site standards.
  • Identify TAR scope and review job plans for fixed equipment.
  • Contribute to critical fixed equipment inspection plans and procedures.
Candidate Profile:

Education & Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as a support engineer or reliability engineer in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
Experience & Technical Skills:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of environmental safety and health policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with applicable compliance and engineering standards, including API, ASME, ASTM, ASNT, PIP, OSHA, EPA, and other RAGAGEP's.
  • Proven track record in applying preventive and predictive maintenance technologies to enhance the reliability and predictability of fixed equipment.
  • Experience with SAP plant maintenance module.
