VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to fill the role of Statewide Medical Director. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of medical services in correctional facilities across the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure high-quality medical care is delivered to patients
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with medical providers and staff to resolve issues and improve patient outcomes
  • Supervise and mentor physicians and mid-level providers to ensure they meet the highest standards of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in correctional healthcare
Requirements
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan
  • Board certification in a relevant medical specialty
  • Valid unrestricted DEA license
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA), public health (MPH), or healthcare administration (MHCA) preferred
  • Experience in managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, quality improvement, and risk management
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
