Job Overview

We're seeking a skilled Service Driver to join our team at AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah. As a Service Driver, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while operating a service vehicle to assist members with various roadside needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a service vehicle to respond to member calls, performing tasks such as loading/towing vehicles, flat tire changes, lock-out services, and fuel delivery.
  • Interact with customers, establishing rapport, building relationships, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Utilize on-board computer systems, radio communications, and mapping tools to efficiently manage service calls and maintain accurate records.
  • Complete daily paperwork, including call logs, battery invoices, and cash receipts, to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Inspect and submit maintenance reports on company vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 6-7 years of experience operating a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to learn new skills through training and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people.
  • Basic math skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic automotive knowledge and computer skills.

Work Environment

As a Service Driver, you'll work outdoors at vehicle sites, lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day. You'll also work in various weather conditions and traffic situations.

Compensation

Starting rates vary by region, ranging from $20.00 to $24.50 hourly, with potential for additional incentives based on quality and productivity.
