Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Student Admissions Counselor to join our team at Delaware Valley Job Corps. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students in our youth development program.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive screening procedures to determine applicants' eligibility for the Job Corps Program.
  • Serve as a Center Liaison to facilitate a seamless enrollment process and early student retention.
  • Work closely with community agencies, employment services, high schools, trade and technical schools, and other agencies to inform prospective applicants about the Job Corps program.
  • Develop partnerships with community agencies and local businesses to develop and maintain referral linkages for prospective enrollments and post-training placement opportunities.
  • Conduct Academy campus tours, pre-arrival visits, and Parent meetings.
  • Establish supportive/mentoring relationships with students during the Career Transition Phase.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field from an accredited school. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related field with two years of related experience in youth programs is also acceptable. A valid in-State Driver's License and meeting Company insurability requirements are also necessary.
