Job Title: Manufacturing Machine Operator, Liquid Packaging
This position is part of our Abbott Nutrition division, which develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages. Our products help babies and children grow, keep adult bodies strong and active, and provide essential nutrition to millions of families around the world.
Responsibilities
- Filling and sealing liquid packaging products
- Maintenance of product level in filler and seamer
- Performing preventative maintenance on filler and seamer
- Ensuring commodities are released prior to usage
- Greasing and oiling seamer as needed
- Performing visual can inspection
- Filling weight checks
- Ensuring proper FP tank hook-up to filling lines
Clean Up Operation
- Performing preventative maintenance check on filler valves and pistons
- Ensuring proper cleaning methods are used during a wash job
- Cleaning area to include: filler valves, filler pistons, filler screens, filler bowl, product filters, filler room floors and walls
Equipment Operation
- Operating depalletizer, labeler, casepacker, and cartoner
- Loading commodities into equipment
- Maintaining inventory counts of commodities used during each batch
- Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work stations
- Performing and documenting Quality checks and preventative maintenance
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 months experience in food manufacturing
