Ironing Specialist

Job Summary:

As an Iron Operator at VESTIS, you will play a vital role in our industrial laundry facility. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently handle merchandise, ensuring it is processed and stored accurately. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stage and feed merchandise onto the ironer to minimize wrinkling and tangling.
• Receive and fold merchandise from the ironer, verifying quantities and bundles by type.
• Identify and segregate merchandise not meeting quality standards, including rips, tears, holes, and stains.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to best practices in production activities.

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, meeting attendance schedules.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a warehouse setting, exposing you to outside weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and dust and noise.

Education and Certifications:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
