About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as an Executive Creative Director. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for translating marketing and communications strategies into compelling creative concepts and expressions that bring our brand to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of creatives, including designers, writers, editors, and videographers, to ensure high-quality output across all platforms.
  • Develop and execute creative strategies that align with our brand architecture and drive business results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing brand strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and campus units, to ensure alignment with brand strategies and objectives.
  • Select and manage the work of outside agency partners and other suppliers to ensure all creative work is in alignment with brand strategies and guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent and unified brand identity across all deliverables and platforms/channels.
  • Continuously refresh and optimize brand assets to maintain performance and reduce fatigue.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of brand initiatives and campaigns to inform future brand strategy and creative direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in design, brand development, and multimedia leadership.
  • Experience leading large and diverse creative teams in a complex organization with demonstrated ability in advancing organizational goals.
  • Experience working in an iterative and collaborative environment, directing alongside marketing leaders, creative designers, and concept developers.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in conceptual storytelling, writing, and directing creative for full marketing campaigns and specific marketing materials.
  • Exceptional client service and analytical skills.
  • Achievement in building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team of creatives.
  • High level of aesthetic sense with a critical eye and sharp attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Deep understanding and application of marketing trends and modern marketing technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MFA preferred.
  • Experience with magazine production and publishing.
  • Experience in social media content creation.
