About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as an Executive Creative Director. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for translating marketing and communications strategies into compelling creative concepts and expressions that bring our brand to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of creatives, including designers, writers, editors, and videographers, to ensure high-quality output across all platforms.
- Develop and execute creative strategies that align with our brand architecture and drive business results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive communication and marketing brand strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and campus units, to ensure alignment with brand strategies and objectives.
- Select and manage the work of outside agency partners and other suppliers to ensure all creative work is in alignment with brand strategies and guidelines.
- Ensure consistent and unified brand identity across all deliverables and platforms/channels.
- Continuously refresh and optimize brand assets to maintain performance and reduce fatigue.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of brand initiatives and campaigns to inform future brand strategy and creative direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in design, brand development, and multimedia leadership.
- Experience leading large and diverse creative teams in a complex organization with demonstrated ability in advancing organizational goals.
- Experience working in an iterative and collaborative environment, directing alongside marketing leaders, creative designers, and concept developers.
- Extensive hands-on experience in conceptual storytelling, writing, and directing creative for full marketing campaigns and specific marketing materials.
- Exceptional client service and analytical skills.
- Achievement in building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing team of creatives.
- High level of aesthetic sense with a critical eye and sharp attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Deep understanding and application of marketing trends and modern marketing technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- MFA preferred.
- Experience with magazine production and publishing.
- Experience in social media content creation.
