Responsibilities

Job Summary
Under the guidance of our Nuclear Medicine Supervisor or radiologist, you'll perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, creativity, and initiative. Your tasks will include calibrating and administering isotopes, recording dosage and examination data, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. You'll also be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing quality control testing, and participating in staff training and development.

  • Obtain patient history, perform nuclear medicine studies, and observe patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Transport patients to exam rooms, prepare and maintain rooms, and obtain and evaluate images for technical quality assurance factors.
  • Maintain equipment in efficient operating order, perform and document quality control testing, and contact service for repair and maintenance as directed.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and inservicing of staff as needed.
  • Rotate throughout the department as staffing and volume dictate.
  • Assist in coordinating daily workflow for the department's activities.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned areas.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and completion of an ARRT or NMTCB accredited Radiography program or US military Radiography training program.
