Position Overview
CSCI Consulting is in search of a skilled Network Engineer to become a vital part of our Defense Logistics Agency Information (DLA) Operations Enterprise Enclave (IOEE) and Information Secure Enterprise Enclave (IOSEE) Engineering Support Services program.
This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office attendance once a week, with significant travel obligations (both CONUS and OCONUS), estimated at 50%.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engineering expertise for enterprise network solutions across the agency.
- Assist in the design and execution of technology upgrades throughout the DLA enterprise, which encompasses over two hundred locations.
- Conduct, document, and evaluate laboratory assessments of hardware and software for both classified and unclassified DISN Services to ensure optimal connectivity and functionality between the DLA WAN, IOEE/IOSEE, and DISA's NOCs.
- Guarantee interoperability among DLA WAN, IOEE/IOSEE, and DISN network equipment and services.
- Plan and monitor the execution of implementation tasks.
- Create essential supporting configuration documents such as network diagrams, detailed designs, test plans, operational readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance procedures.
- Oversee and ensure the completion of assigned tasks, projects, work orders, and incidents.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in LAN/WAN engineering support, Network Administration, and WAN Administration.
- Experience in network engineering within both classified and unclassified settings.
- Proficient in network design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Device configuration experience in a multi-vendor environment.
- Familiarity with wired, wireless, voice, and video technologies.
- Possession of a valid US Passport.
Active Secret with SSBI or Top Secret clearance is required.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is necessary.
Certifications
- CompTIA - Security+ CE
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Experience in reviewing industry and government data related to technology changes impacting the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) commercial telecommunications sector.
- Knowledge of Standard LAN/WAN protocols, BGP, MPLS, and LDP in a service provider context.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and provide status updates and implementation plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
