Job Description

Festival Foods is seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with guests and provide a welcoming experience
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Bag items thoughtfully and maintain a clean store environment
  • Stay informed about promotions and advertisements to assist guests effectively
  • Maintain order and organization in the store
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Meet quality and quantity standards, especially during peak times
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team
Requirements:
  • Customer service skills and ability to engage with guests
  • Retail experience and ability to process information and merchandise transactions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Accuracy and ability to read, count, and write accurately
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand in place for long periods of time; walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly
  • Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand-foot coordination in order to operate equipment
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
