Job Title: CT Scan Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Scan Technologist to join our healthcare team at NavitsPartners.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will perform CT imaging procedures with precision, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care. This role includes overnight shifts, weekend work, and being on-call as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and obtain the necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures, following established protocols.
  • Maintain sterile fields and instruments during procedures.
  • Communicate with patients and their families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety, ensuring patient dignity and privacy are maintained.
  • Verify patient identification in accordance with policy and ensure medical records, previous reports, and patient history are available.
  • Monitor patients before and after contrast injections, reporting any changes in condition to nursing staff and Radiologist.
  • Begin emergency response measures if complications arise during procedures.
  • Maintain adequate supplies, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage materials in each scanning room.
  • Clean and maintain CT equipment, including the gantry and table, after each use.
  • Ensure all supplies are adequately stocked and inform supervisors of any soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
  • Assist in maintaining workflow efficiency and patient safety, particularly during emergency and unscheduled procedures.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) requirements as per daily, monthly, and ACR specifications.
  • Recognize and report unusual conditions in the operation of equipment and follow venipuncture and power injector protocols.
  • Process and send images to PACS/RIS systems for urgent cases like Code Grey, Trauma, etc., and ensure radiologists are promptly informed of any critical findings.

Required Skills:

  • Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform in high-pressure situations
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems
  • Knowledge of CT procedures, contrast administration, and patient safety protocols
  • Ability to maintain equipment cleanliness and organization

Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Radiographer Technical Training Program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography Program

Required Certifications:

  • ARRT RT (R)
  • ARRT RT (CT)
  • NJDEP – New Jersey State X-Ray License
  • BLS Certification
