Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Part-time Skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. This is a part-time position on 2nd shift, and the incumbent will have the flexibility to choose their hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all standard axis (3 Lathe, 4 Mill) numerically controlled machine tools to perform complex machining operations on a diversified line of work.
  • Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and check out programs independently.
  • Work from CNC program, operation sheets, and machine setup instructions.
  • Provide technical supervision or training to others.
  • Act as Team Leader in Team Leader's absence and demonstrate leadership.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Machining Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to prescribe an appropriate inspection method based on a wide range of GD&T callouts.
  • Proficient in use of shop math.
  • Ability to troubleshoot programming and process issues.
  • Familiarity with operating of live tooling and sub-spindle machines.
