As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition to meet the demands of our underground operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including light and heavy-duty vehicles, off-road equipment, and generators.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and hydraulic system problems.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed, including time and material records.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and meet project deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance and repair processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational technical school training or post-secondary automotive or diesel mechanical training preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a skilled technician in a dealer-level or large fleet repair organization.
- Valid California Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class A or B license preferred.
- Additional licenses and certifications, such as Forklift Operators License and Master ASE Certification, highly preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Work will be performed primarily outdoors in the field, with occasional work in a maintenance shop.
- Exposure to inclement weather, high temperatures, and physical demands of working with heavy equipment.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- Competitive hourly rate of $32.95.
