Job SummaryRogers Group, a leading aggregates and asphalt highway construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our quarry and asphalt construction facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine equipment and plant maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Operate production equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and screens, to meet production targets
- Participate in plant improvement projects to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on plant equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety
- Inspect and repair plant equipment as needed to maintain optimal performance
- Inspect and maintain crushers, conveyors, and screens to ensure proper function and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the success of the team
- Must have a strong commitment to safe work practices and a proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment
- Previous industrial and conveyor maintenance experience is preferred, but not required
- 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience is required
- Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and a 3pm-1am shift
- Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Plant maintenance and utility experience, preferably in a quarry environment
- Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment, including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
- Experience operating heavy equipment
