UTILITY BUILDING ENGINEER

The Utility Building Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of property structures, facilities, and building systems, ensuring optimal functionality and cost efficiency. This position involves performing general maintenance duties across various commercial properties, including office and retail spaces, and requires a background of 2-3 years in commercial maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support senior engineers with diverse repair tasks, encompassing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and more.
  • Execute assigned work orders for corrective repairs and preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to identify deficiencies and carry out necessary maintenance activities.
  • Replace fixtures, address plumbing issues, and perform painting duties as required.
  • Manage inventory and maintain organization within the engineering workshop.
  • Respond to tenant requests and effectively prioritize daily tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with tenants, staff, and vendors.
  • Availability for emergency call-ins and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Excellent customer service abilities and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions, including noise, heat, cold, and electrical hazards.
