Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Conduct thorough functional assessments of patients using standardized procedures, including home and vocational needs.">
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, containing achievable functional goals.">
  • Work closely with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize patients' use of functional abilities.">
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive care and address any concerns or needs that arise.">
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, revising treatment plans as needed throughout the treatment process.">
  • Orient patients to program services and treatment procedures, ensuring they understand their treatment plan and any potential risks involved.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • A Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience.">
  • Current licensure/certification in the state of practice and preference for current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board.">
  • Demonstrated competency in applying occupational therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment to the patient population served by this facility.">
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, along with adequate computer skills to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.">
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.">
  • Promote the programs and services of Vertis Therapy through formal and informal interactions with the community.">
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.">
