Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced life support care to patients in emergency situations
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment and vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current Paramedic certification and licensure in the state of West Virginia
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate emergency vehicles
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
  • National Registry of Paramedic Certification
  • West Virginia certifications in Critical Care Paramedicine and Pediatric Life Support
  • Experience working in emergency medical services or a related field
