Position Summary:
The Client Relations Specialist is primarily tasked with establishing new deposit accounts for both individual and business clients. This role requires engaging with existing and prospective clients in a courteous and supportive manner, leveraging knowledge of the bank's offerings to meet client needs while adhering to all financial regulations. The Specialist addresses client inquiries regarding their accounts and possesses the skills necessary to process transactions accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all banking products and services.
- Advocate for the bank's offerings based on client requirements.
- Precisely open new personal and business deposit accounts, debit cards, IRAs, and CDs tailored to client needs.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for new accounts.
- Engage with clients in person, via phone, or through electronic communication in a friendly and patient manner.
- Respond to both basic and complex client inquiries regarding their accounts.
- Build and nurture relationships with a designated portfolio of clients.
- Explore innovative methods to deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
- Safely and accurately handle client transactions, including cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments as required.
- Issue negotiable instruments such as cashier's checks when necessary.
- Fulfill special client requests as needed.
- Maintain and balance cash and currency in personal cash drawer as required.
- Adhere to bank operational and security protocols.
- Ensure confidentiality of client and bank operational information.
- Comply with all banking guidelines and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; candidates should be at least 16 years of age at the time of employment.
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the banking sector.
- Experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements or related work experience.
- This position necessitates skills typical of an office environment, including proficiency in computer usage, effective communication, and familiarity with office equipment.
