Job Title: Physical Education Teacher

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our team. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters physical fitness, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging physical education programs that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Teach students the fundamental skills and knowledge of physical fitness, health education, and individual and team sports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement a balanced physical education program that aligns with state and national standards.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs, adapting lesson plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Evaluate student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and school administrators.
  • Supervise students during physical education activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in physical education.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Education or a related field.
  • State teaching license and/or certification in Physical Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and national content standards, as well as experience with instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite.
