Laundry Attendant Job Description

About the Role:

The Homewood Suites Goldsboro is seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laundry facilities, ensuring that all linens and terry are properly handled and processed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and sort soiled linens and terry
  • Treat stained linen when applicable and salvageable
  • Operate washers and dryers according to manufacturer instructions
  • Fold clean terry and linen and stock shelves and storage rooms
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow safety and security protocols

Working Conditions:

The Laundry Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment. The ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude is essential.
