This position is crucial in transforming how users interact with AI on our platform, enabling natural interactions through speech, gestures, and more.

As a vital member of our collaborative team, which includes engineers, designers, and machine learning experts, you will significantly contribute by conceptualizing, architecting, designing, and deploying backend systems that facilitate these experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

Engage in various projects such as:

  • Developing a low-latency audio streaming backend for real-time human interactions.
  • Creating a large-scale video ingestion and storage framework to enhance the visual capabilities of AI Characters.
  • Building a generative video live-streaming platform.
  • Managing, scaling, and automating extensive deployments of streaming infrastructure to ensure high availability.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with audio and video streaming technologies (e.g., WebRTC, media servers).
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and scaling backend systems for rapidly growing consumer applications.
  • Expertise in writing high-performance services, with strong proficiency in Golang and/or Python.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices that collectively form complex, scalable backend systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (like Docker) and orchestration tools (such as Kubernetes).
  • Extensive knowledge of various database technologies, including relational (like PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB).
  • Proficiency in database design, sharding, replication, and performance tuning for high-traffic environments.
  • Experience with caching mechanisms (like Redis, Memcached) to optimize application performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure optimal backend performance under varying loads.
  • Proven collaborative skills to work effectively with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to conceive, design, and implement new features that enhance user experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Compensation:

Estimated Base Salary: $150K – $350K
