About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil-Structural Engineer to join our team as a design engineer for Mission Engineering. This full-time position will provide structural design support for minor facility modifications in Cat 2, 3/Non-Nuclear, Balance of Plant facilities, and Backbone Infrastructure Utility areas.

  • This role involves developing structural designs, including drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, and structural calculations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in materials of construction such as concrete, steel, masonry, cold-formed steel, timber, and proficiency in CAD drafting and 3D modeling tools like STAAD Pro and GT STRUDL.

  • The successful candidate will work effectively as part of an integrated project team, providing design verifications, input to system engineers, and field support to craft personnel. They will also be responsible for performing walkdowns in existing plant facilities to generate design documents.

  • Familiarity with ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) and CSA-related issues is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in seismic analyses, rehabilitation, building evaluations, and consensus design codes.

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school is required, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interface with various stakeholders, and willingness to work in a production environment are also essential.
