The Director of Medical-Surgical Telemetry will oversee the operations of a prominent not-for-profit healthcare facility with over 250 beds, part of a larger healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Director, you will manage the Med/Surg and Telemetry units, which cater to patients experiencing various cardiac conditions such as chest pain, acute myocardial infarction, syncope, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Your role will also encompass overseeing patients with devices like pacemakers and ICDs, as well as those requiring telemetry monitoring.
Leadership and Management:
You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all non-provider staff, collaborating closely with the Medical Director in a Dyad leadership model. Your leadership will be crucial in identifying resources necessary for achieving departmental goals and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current RN license in New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Acute Care leadership role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
This position is ideal for a candidate with strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills, ready to take on a pivotal role in enhancing patient care within the telemetry and medical-surgical departments.
