About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Manager II to lead our cloud business platforms team. As a technical leader, you will oversee strategic projects and manage a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Set priorities that align with the organization's goals and communicate them effectively to your team.
  2. Develop and maintain clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role.
  3. Evolve the technical roadmap to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
  4. Design and guide system designs within the broader area and contribute to product development.
  5. Provide feedback to ensure best practices in code reviews.

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of technical leadership experience overseeing strategic projects.
  • 2 years of people management, supervision/team leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

About You

You have technical expertise to take on major projects and manage a team of engineers. You optimize your own code and ensure engineers can optimize theirs. As a manager, you guide teams across multiple areas, including information retrieval, artificial intelligence, and large-scale system design.

What We Offer

A competitive salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. We operate with scale and speed, and as a manager, you guide the way.
