BWX Technologies, a leading nuclear solutions provider, seeks a skilled Nuclear Data Scientist to join its team in Lynchburg, VA. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for establishing data science capabilities at the Nuclear Operations Group-Lynchburg facility.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data science, machine learning, and/or artificial intelligence, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing and data science. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

This is a challenging role that requires a high level of expertise in NOG-L product lines, with expertise in statistical analysis, signal processing, and computer vision being highly desirable. Strong coding skills in C++, Python, R, or other similar tools are also essential.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $77,000 and $112,000 per year, depending on local job market factors and individual qualifications.

The selected candidate will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
