Job Summary

This position is located at an aquatic facility and is responsible for assisting with the operation of the pool, overseeing the work of assigned lifeguards, and assisting with scheduling and monitoring compliance with facility policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the operation of the pool, including overseeing the work of assigned lifeguards and assisting with scheduling.
  • Monitor compliance with facility policies and ensure a safe environment for guests.
  • Employ safety rules for the protection of guests and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Rescue swimmers and administer first aid as required.
  • Assist in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training.
  • Maintain a clean and safe pool area, free from hazards.
  • Provide information to guests regarding safety rules and procedures.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for disciplinary actions of patrons.
  • Assist in coaching or preparing competitive and non-competitive swimming programs as required.
  • Attend aquatics and/or safety training as directed.
  • Issue towels and check identification.
  • Maintain daily logs and records as required.
Requirements
  • Must possess American Red Cross 'Lifeguard' certification or nationally recognized equivalent.
  • Must possess American Red Cross 'Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer' (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent.
  • Must possess American Red Cross 'Automated External Defibrillator' (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent.
Additional Information

This is a pay-banded position and may be eligible for Sunday premium pay and night differential. Incentives and bonuses are not paid.
