Head Cook Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Cook to join our team at Suite Living Senior Care. This is a full-time position with set hours of 9:30AM - 5:30PM, Monday through Friday. No on-call shifts.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meals according to the menu using batch cooking methods.
  • Ensure meals are presented and served to residents within the standards of customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable dining room.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory and order food and supplies as needed.
  • Work within a budget to maintain menu integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and staff.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and activities.
  • Assist with private gatherings and events.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to accommodate special diets.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience as a Dietary Manager, Head Cook, or similar role within a Senior Living community.
  • ServSafe Certification upon hire.
  • Certified Food Manager (CFPM) upon hire.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Certified Food Manager (CFPM).
