We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Registrar to join our team at Lake Huron Medical Center. As a key member of our Admitting department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth registration process for our patients.
Responsibilities
As a Patient Account Registrar, you will be responsible for interviewing patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information, securing insurance details, and verifying eligibility and benefits. You will work closely with our PBX operator and reception teams to ensure seamless communication and data entry. Your ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively with patients of all ages will be essential in this role.
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Customer service experience is a must.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
