Job Title: Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to join our team at TekrRA1. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex Service Mesh and API Gateway solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with customers to understand their business requirements and technical needs related to Service Mesh and API Gateway solutions.
  2. Develop detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and implementation plans.
  3. Lead the implementation and deployment of Service Mesh and API Gateway solutions for customers, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  4. Collaborate with customer teams and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in at least seven of the following technologies: ingress controllers, service meshes, API Gateways, Cilium, eBPF, GitOps tooling, OTEL, Prometheus, Grafana, OPA, WASM, Backstage.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for automation and customization.
  • Experience implementing complex micro-services deployments and managing APIs for REST, GraphQL, gRPC.
  • Expertise in cloud environments and architectures and strong troubleshooting skills in those environments.
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and supporting complex enterprise application architectures.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a consultant role or equivalent assisting customers with application and platform modernization initiatives.

This is a 3-6 month contract position with the possibility of long-term or contract-to-hire after 6 months. Travel is required for this role, with 10-15% travel expected. Expenses will be paid.
