Position Overview:
As an Aquatic Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all members and guests at our aquatic facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Oversee swimming activities and ensure adherence to established policies and safety protocols.
  • Alert swimmers to unsafe behaviors and enforce pool regulations and water safety standards.
  • Provide first aid in case of injuries, rescue individuals in distress, and perform CPR or artificial respiration when necessary.
  • Assess safety conditions and implement emergency action plans as needed.
  • Conduct inspections of pool facilities, equipment, and water quality to ensure safety and usability.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas, including conducting chlorine tests and maintaining records of water quality and incidents.
  • Instruct or assist in swimming classes as qualified.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Schedule:

  • Day and Evening shifts
  • Availability on Holidays
  • Workdays include Monday through Sunday, with specific hours after holiday weekends.
  • Reliable transportation or plans to relocate prior to starting work is required.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience as a Lifeguard for at least one year.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
