Payroll Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team at B&B Theatres. As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

• Gather and examine timesheets to ensure accuracy and communicate with location managers throughout the circuit for error corrections.
• Reconcile tips reports, ensure compliance, and track minimum wage make-ups.
• Monitor payroll-related issues, tips recording, certificates, and compliance on Liquor Liability and Driving records.
• Ensure that employees' compensation, deductions, overtime work is calculated appropriately.
• Capture approved Paid Time Off.
• Address queries about payroll-related issues.
• Work to resolve discrepancies in payments as a matter of urgency.
• Record mileage and other reimbursement requests of employees.
• Create After-Payroll reports necessary for analysis and review by other departments.
• Assist in creating reports for compliance audits.
• Print and mail 1095s and W2s as required.
• Engage in cross-training and handle some onboarding tasks as needed.
• Fulfill other clerical roles, special tasks, or projects assigned from time to time as needed.

• Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft suite, including Outlook, TEAMS, and Excel.
• Excellent data entry and math skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Capacity to keep track of numerous ongoing tasks.
• Adherence to all prescribed ethical guidelines, including confidentiality.
• Strong sense of integrity.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary performance.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• A minimum of one year of payroll experience required.
• Working experience with payroll software.
• A minimum of one year of experience working in UKG preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
