Job Title: Clinical Nutrition Specialist

**About the Role:**
As a Clinical Nutrition Specialist at Springfield Clinic, you will play a vital part in our healthcare team. Your role will involve coordinating, planning, and conducting programs to educate patients about nutrition, as well as administering medical nutrition therapy.

**Key Responsibilities:**
• Formulate menus for therapeutic diets based on patients' medical and physical conditions and integrate patient-specific menus into their care plans.
• Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care that meet patients' nutritional needs and correlate these plans with other healthcare services.
• Provide high-quality nutrition education and counseling services to patients, including developing educational materials tailored to their needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine patients' nutritional needs and diet restrictions, such as low-fat or salt-free diets.
• Document patients' nutritional status and care plans accurately and effectively.
• Actively participate in staff education and professional development through presentations, workshops, and written information.
• Comply with OSHA guidelines and Springfield Clinic's incident reporting policy and procedures.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and adhere to Springfield Clinic's Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.

**Requirements:**
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university providing curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required. Additionally, at least one year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian is necessary. A Registered Dietitian certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration is also mandatory. CPR certification per American Heart Association guidelines is required within 30 days of hire.

**Salary Range: $62,000 - $82,000 per year,
**depending on experience.
