About the Role

Courtyard Topeka is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Guest Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities
  • Room Cleaning and Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms on a regular schedule, daily, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and comfort for our guests.
  • Public Area Maintenance: Remove all trash and dirty linen from public spaces, hallways, and rooms, and keep all areas clean, neat, and vacuumed.
  • Supply Management: Restock cart with cleaning and sanitization supplies, such as bleach, mops, wipes, and brooms, and replenish chemical bottles as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure overall cleanliness satisfaction for all rooms, public spaces, and guest touch points, and report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
  • Adherence to Brand and CDC Standards: Clean and sanitize according to CDC and brand standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
