Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at the University of California. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clinic staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and clinic providers.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage associated patient system screens.
  • Ensure accurate billing and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Manage equipment and supplies, and perform cleaning and disinfecting tasks.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate initiative and prioritization skills.
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • BART or BLS certification at time of hire, with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ambulatory clinic experience.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
