Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product for Oshkosh Corporation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate welding equipment to produce high-quality weldments, adhering to quality standards and company guidelines.
  • Adjust welding equipment to ensure proper configurations for quality and accuracy of weldments.
  • Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment.
  • Weld components in flat and vertical positions, ensuring proper assembly and weld quality.
  • Operate and read measuring devices accurately to ensure precision and quality.
  • Position, assemble, and weld various metal parts properly as outlined on blueprints and company specifications.
  • Maintain attention to detail and adhere to quality standards to ensure high-quality products.
Requirements
  • One (1) or more years of relevant experience in a manufacturing industry.
  • Passing score on internal welder certification test and successful recertification of skills, as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and company specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding Certification through an educational institution.
  • 1 plus year(s) of welding experience in a manufacturing industry.
