The Psychiatrist is responsible for evaluating and documenting signs of mental health disorders, formulating diagnoses, and assessing the needs of clients to ensure appropriate interventions.

The Psychiatrist engages in discussions with clients regarding their assessments and recommendations, determining the urgency of treatment initiation, which may include medications, laboratory tests, hospitalization, or detoxification programs. Consent for medication is obtained and documented, alongside the creation of treatment plans and necessary referrals.

With the client's consent, the Psychiatrist implements the treatment strategy, maintaining thorough documentation of therapy sessions and client progress. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including Unit Managers and Medical Directors, is essential to provide high-quality clinical care to all clients.

Essential Qualifications:

Education:

  • Graduation from an accredited medical institution is essential. Completion of a psychiatric residency accredited by the ACGME or an equivalent organization is required.

Licensure:

  • Must hold a valid medical license in Texas and a current DEA registration.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in Adult Behavioral Health, including Mental Illness, Substance Abuse, and Emotional Disturbances.

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Compensation: Annual salary ranges from $255,135 to $295,351.
