Host Healthcare is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cath Lab Tech to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and technical expertise. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines, to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide seamless patient care, communicating effectively and responding to emergencies as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
- Current certification as a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting, with a strong understanding of imaging equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly in response to emergencies
