Clinical Nurse II Colorectal Surgery Urology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Colorectal Surgery and Urology Unit at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered, and apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, and direct and guide ancillary personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered, and obtain and maintain certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
