We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities- Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
- Manage the efficient flow of patient care, including screening, preparation for examination, providing general nursing care and comfort, and arranging for admissions, testing, and discharges.
- Review and maintain patients' records, including posting test and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when necessary.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, holding an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
