Hospitality Care Specialist

The Hospitality Aide plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents by performing various non-medical tasks. This includes passing meal trays, providing snacks and water, stocking linen and supplies, and transporting residents to and from activities.
As a key member of the care team, the Hospitality Aide contributes to the delivery of compassionate, safe care and demonstrates a commitment to continuous growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities- Performs delegated non-medical activities using specific competencies for the patient population served.
- Assists in meeting the non-medical needs of the resident in collaboration with the care team to ensure quality, cost-effective safe resident care practices.
- Performs basic tasks such as making beds, stripping rooms, passing water and snacks, resident laundry, etc.
- Respectfully addresses situations to ensure resident concerns and needs are met.
- Identifies ways to improve the resident's experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs to improve resident, family, and team member satisfaction.
- Identifies and escalates resident risk to prevent crises.
- Demonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with residents, families, team members, and providers.
- Responds to resident call lights. Assists in transporting residents to in-facility activities.
- Supportive, caring, and compassionate attitude.
- School diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
- Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties.
- Normally works in climate controlled office environment.
- Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space.
- Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
- Occasional high noise level in work environment.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.
- Transporting, transferring, positioning patients and/or equipment from one location to another; little likelihood for injury if proper body mechanics and procedures are followed.
- Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative individuals.
