Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized breast procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competently perform mammographic examinations, including routine and specialized procedures.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate results and optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest diagnostic imaging techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience.
  • CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • RHM - Radiology Mammography.
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years of basic clinical and practical experience in a similar environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of diagnostic mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine mammographic examinations and possess a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.

Work Environment:

This position may regularly work with hazardous drugs, as identified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), for purposes of USP 800.
